Eric Stemn (PhD)

Chairman, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Eric Stemn is a distinguished academic and practitioner in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), renowned for his research, advocacy, and leadership in improving workplace safety standards, particularly in high-risk industries. With a strong background in engineering and safety management, Eric has made significant contributions to understanding safety culture, risk assessment, accident prevention and emergency preparedness and response in mining and other hazardous sectors.

Eric holds a PhD in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Queensland, Australia. Currently, Eric serves as an Associate Professor of Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT). He is also the Head of the Environmental and Safety Engineering Department, and the Coordinator of the Disaster and Emergency Management (DEM) Hub, where he educates future engineers and safety professionals on best practices in occupational safety, risk management, and sustainable mining operations and works collaboratively with industry to improve operational safety performance. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Safety Science, where he also serves as the only Section Editor from an African University. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles with over 1200 citations.

In a world where workplace safety remains a critical challenge, Eric continues to drive change, making workplaces safer through innovation, education, and evidence-based policy recommendations. His influence extends beyond Ghana, impacting global OHS practices and inspiring the next generation of safety professionals.

Charles Torsoo Frimpong

Vice Chairman, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Charles Torsoo Frimpong is the vice chairman of FOSA 2005. As a team builder, compassionate and result oriented he was instrumental in mobilizing the year group. Charles currently is the Regional sales manager for Imexco Ghana Ltd managing western,western North and central region and has previously been with Unilever Ghana Ltd, Agricult Ghana Ltd, Barclays bank (ABSA) and Everbond financial services as an investment banker.

Charles has served in management positions in several multinational global companies in areas of finance, business development and sustainability. Charles is currently an officer of the church of Pentecost, married and blessed with three lovely kids. Charles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from University of Cape Coast.

Lilian Atta Anim, ACIHRM

Secretary, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Lilian Atta Anim is a talented graphic designer with a passion for creativity and innovation. She currently works with New Times Corporation. Beyond her design expertise, Lilian is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM). This designation reflects her well-rounded skill set, including a solid understanding of organizational dynamics and effective communication strategies.

Dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, Lilian aims to make meaningful contributions across design, human resource management, and other fields. She combines technical design expertise with a human-centered approach, offering a unique perspective that drives innovation and meaningful impact.

As Secretary, my objective is to facilitate communication within the group and with external stakeholders, supports project planning and execution, and actively promotes member engagement. Her efforts are focused on fostering collaboration and ensuring successful initiatives that give back to her alma mater.

Assistant Secretary, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Sharon Payne is a results-driven Training and Development professional with over a decade of experience in designing and delivering impactful learning programmes. With a career defined by a commitment to sustainability and excellence, she specialises in empowering diverse audiences—including corporate teams, MSMEs, and returning migrants—through high-impact, results-oriented training.

Sharon’s expertise lies in bridging the gap between complex organisational needs and measurable learning outcomes. She has a proven track record in conducting comprehensive training needs assessments and developing industry-aligned curricula that integrate principles of environmental sustainability and occupational health. Her leadership style is collaborative, having successfully led multidisciplinary teams to deliver large-scale developmental projects.

Sharon holds an MSc in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety and a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Her commitment to continuous improvement is further highlighted by an Executive Certificate in Business Administration from Accra Business School and specialised certifications in Strategic Leadership and Health & Safety Management.

Rubina Swanzy Mensah

Treasurer, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Rubina Swanzy Mensah is the treasurer for FOSA 2025. As a team builder who focuses on managing the financial resources of our year group is my hallmark.

Rubina is currently working with Judicial Service of Ghana as a senior procurement officer. I have previously worked with Intercom Programming and Manufacturing Company Ltd (IPMC) as the Regional Administrator for the Western Region. Rubina is a Christian, married with kids.

She holds a Bachelor of Education in Management from University of Cape Coast. Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a member of the professional body of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) UK.

Abigail Asante

Organiser, Fijai Senior High School Year Group (Class of 2005)

Abigail Asantewaa Asante is a highly organised and resourceful professional with a strong background in procurement and supply chain operations. She is an alumna of Takoradi Polytechnic and currently serves as a Purchasing Assistant in one of the best pharmaceutical company in Ghana where she supports efficient procurement processes, vendor coordination, inventory management, and the timely supply of essential pharmaceutical products.

Beyond her professional career, Abigail is actively engaged in alumni leadership and has been nominated to serve as an Organizer for the FOSA 2005 Year Group. In this prospective role, she brings strong organisational ability, commitment, and a results-oriented mindset to support the structuring and coordination of group activities whereas to contribute to improved member engagement, effective planning, and the execution of initiatives that will help elevate the association’s cohesion and overall impact.

Nana Abeiku Baah Andam

Nana Abeiku Baah Andam is a performance-driven and results-oriented professional with over a decade of cross-functional experience spanning supply chain management, banking and credit risk, insurance brokerage, occupational health and safety, and customer service. He brings a strong track record of optimizing operations, managing risk, and delivering value through strategic thinking and effective execution.

With an MBA in Business Administration and a background in Mathematics and Business, Nana Abeiku combines analytical precision with practical business insight. His expertise includes procurement and sourcing, inventory and logistics management, credit analysis, regulatory reporting, and health and safety compliance aligned with international standards such as ISO 9001,14001, 45001 and NEBOSH IGC frameworks.

Throughout his career, Nana Abeiku has demonstrated the ability to improve systems, drive efficiency, and support organizational goals under tight deadlines. He has successfully led initiatives in cost optimization, risk assessment, data analysis, and client relationship management, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Known for his strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and collaborative mindset, Nana Abeiku thrives in dynamic environments where problem-solving, leadership, and strategic planning are essential.
